ABOUT SHAWN ARNELL: A native Arkansas, born in Corning, Shawn helped start the popular “Press Row” show on ESPN in Northwest Arkansas, before being tapped to host “Conference Call,” a program about SEC sports heard on 90 radio stations across the conference. Shawn has also worked on air for the Memphis Grizzlies and served as a television host on the CSS show, "On the Rise."
ABOUT WALLY HALL: Not only is he the sports editor of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, but writes the most read sports column in Arkansas. Wally tells is like it is, and understands the Arkansas fans. And callers love to mix it up with Wally.
The Rest of the Team:
Producer Russ: Russ McKinney serves as producer on Shawn and Wally. Russ also produces the popular "Around the SEC" segment which can be heard during football. Russ works behind the scenes and is also the first point of contact when listeners call the show. Shawn and Wally give Russ a hard time on the air but it is all in fun because he keeps those two on cue, which is a full time job.
Jay Jones: Jay is a native of Central Arkansas. He started his radio career in the mid 80's. He hosted the popular Hogville Cafe on ESPN 1380 before joining Shawn and Wally. Jay's southern comedy and quick comebacks can be heard daily from 4-5.
Mike Irwin: Mike Irwin has covered the Razorback program for thirty years serving as sports director for KFSM television in Fort Smith/Fayetteville. Mike brings his bluntness and opinions to the show every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday's at 6:30.
Richard Davenport: Recruiting Thursdays" has become one of the most popular segments of Shawn and Wally. Richard Davenport from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette comes in every Thursday from 6-7. The gang interviews top prospects who are interested in the Arkansas program plus national experts. Richard provides great insight and his information is FREE online.
