The Minnesota Twins selected the contract of veteran right-hander Austin Voth from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.
In a corresponding move, the Twins optioned right-hander Cody Lawyerson to St. Paul.
Voth, 33, was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in three starts for St. Paul, striking out 17 batters in 13 1/3 innings since signing a minor league contract on June 4.
Voth was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA, five walks and one strikeout in six innings over two relief appearances earlier this season for the Toronto Blue Jays, who granted him free agency on June 1.
He is 17-19 with a 4.77 ERA in 209 games (39 starts) in parts of eight seasons with the Washington Nationals (2018-22), Baltimore Orioles (2022-23), Seattle Mariners (2024) and Blue Jays (2026). He pitched for Chiba Lotte in Japan last season.
Laweryson, 28, was 1-0 with one save, a 5.06 ERA, and 18 strikeouts in 16 innings over 14 relief appearances this season.
